SPECIAL LABOR DAY WEEKEND FORMAT

Labor Day Weekend was previously planned as a Double Header event with two rounds of racing (Round 7-8) on two different tracks.  Due to the overwhelming number of entries the Showdown Series is having, we have been forced to change the format of the Labor Day event.  The Labor Day event will now be ran as ONE EVENT (with longer motos), ONE ENTRY FEE and ONE SET OF AWARDS:

  • SATURDAY - Practice day with 2 rounds of practice on each track.  We will start practice at 10am on the BOMBER TRACK and we will run 2 rounds.  We will then move to the CLASSIC TRACK and run the remaining 2 rounds of practice.

  • SUNDAY - 1st motos on the BOMBER TRACK.  After a short practice in the morning, we will run the 1st set of motos.  All racing on Sunday will take place on the BOMBER TRACK.  50 Shaft/Shifter Limited (4-8) will run Sunday only.

  • MONDAY - 2nd motos on the CLASSIC TRACK.  After a short practice in the morning, we will run the 2nd set of motos.  All racing on Monday will take place on the CLASSIC TRACK and awards will be handed out after each moto as normal.

  • CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS - Although this is being ran as ONE EVENT, riders will still receive championship points for "two rounds."  Championship points will be given PER MOTO.  "Round 7" points will be awarded based on 1st moto scores.  "Round 8" points will be awarded based on 2nd moto scores.  The awards and payout at the event will still be based on OVERALL finish.  AMA District 17 points will also be awarded based on OVERALL finish.

  • CAPPED CLASSES - All classes will be capped at 40 RIDERS, except: 65 Open (7-11), 85 Open (9-15) & 250 C.  Pre-registration for the TOP 10 in Showdown Series points will open at 12pm CST on August 29.  Pre-registration for all remaining riders will open at 12pm CST on August 31.
